Postville Council

Postville City Council set April 21st as the date for the public hearing on the city budget. The proposed tax rate is 15.37-per thousand.

The Council approved the purchase of two Lift Station Controls at a cost of 63-thousand.

The Council also talked about financing for the Ziegler Utility Project. The Council will hold a public hearing on April 14th to talk about financing. The proposal will be to borrow one-million dollars with 600-thousand going to the Ziegler Project and the remaining funds used to extend the city sidewalk from near the WasteWater Treatment Plant to a housing development area in the city.
