Paxten McHone of Jesup missed the first but made the second free-throw with 2.7-seconds left as the J-Hawks pulled out a 57-56 Sub-State Final thriller over North Fayette/Valley. The Tigerhawks had a half-court shot to win it hit the front of the rim as the horn sounded. Ryan Treptow led Jesup with 27, including 9-in the final quarter. Landon Vogel contributed 9. The Tigerhawks were led by Cael Reichter, who closed a brilliant high school career with 35-points and 20-rebounds. Decklyn Heins added 7. The Tigerhawks close the season 23 and 1. Jesup improves to 16 and 9. They will face top-seeded Western Christian in the first round of the Class 2-A State Tourney on Tuesday, March 11th at 2pm. Western Christian advanced with an 80-55 win over OABCIG.
