1 VEHICLE ROLLOVER CRASH
On 12/27/2024, The Grant County Sheriff's Office received a report of a 1 vehicle crash on US HWY 151 in Jamestown township.
At approximately 2:54PM, Saikou Saidykahn, 24, of Platteville was northbound on HWY 151 in his 2006, silver, Ford Focus. It was reported that Saidykahn's vehicle suddenly experienced a mechanical issue, causing the vehicle to abruptly turn to the right. The vehicle entered the ditch where it became airborne and rolled multiple times. The vehicle came to a rest on it's roof in a residential driveway, where it quickly became engulfed in flames. Saidykahn was able to safely exit the vehicle and was uninjured. He was evaluated on scene by EMS and declined transport. The vehicle was a total loss.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Dickeyville Police Department, Dickeyville EMS, Jamestown Fire Department, Jamestown First Responders, and Automotion Towing of Kieler.
DOMESTIC ABUSE ARREST
On 12/27/2024, at approximately 6:18PM, Deputies with the Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in the Village of Potosi for a reported disturbance. Once on scene, Deputies conducted an investigation, and subsequently took 19 year old Dayton Udelhofen of Potosi into custody. Udelhofen was transported and booked into the Grant County Jail for charges of disorderly conduct, domestic abuse related. Udelhofen was able to post a cash bond, and was released.
Following his release, Udelhofen returned to the residence where another domestic disturbance occurred. Deputies responded and took Udelhofen into custody for a second time. Udelhofen was again transported to the Grant County Jail where he was booked for charges of: disorderly conduct, domestic abuse related, battery, criminal damage to property, strangulation/suffocation, and child abuse.
Reports from both incidents will be referred to the Grant County District Attorney's Office for review and a charging decision.
