Fayette County Releases

On March 30, 2025 at approximately 3:04 PM a Fayette County Deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Old Highway 150 in the city of Fayette.  Upon investigation it was determined 19 year old Marcus Dean Evans of Elkader lost control of the 2014 Chrysler 200 he was driving and entered the ditch.  Evans was not injured and the vehicle he was driving sustained approximately $2,000 damage. The accident remains under investigation.

On 03/29/2025 at approximately 4:00 AM a Fayette County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation.  An investigation determined that 27-year-old Thomas Lacroix of Clarksville was operating the motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.  Lacroix was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail where he awaits his initial appearance.
