Fayette County Drug Arrest

On March 28th, 2025, Fayette County deputies arrested and charged Anthony James Taylor, 42 of Oelwein for Possession of a Controlled substance Marijuana 3rd offense (aggravated misdemeanor), Possession of drug paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor), and driving while barred (serious misdemeanor). This incident remains under investigation and more charges may be filed.  Taylor was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held until his initial appearance and later released on bond. On April 4th, 2025, Fayette County Deputies arrested Mr. Taylor on a warrant for Violation of probation where he is currently being held on a $2,000 cash/surety bond.
