 Hello Ed-Co Community!

As we approach our greenhouse sale we’d like to thank some amazing community members! We want to show special thanks to Community Insurance, Art & Jackie Johnson, Friends of Ag, Rosie Tottman, Edgewood Chamber of Commerce, the Edgewood Locker ,and Amber Jaeger for purchasing the wish list our STEM class provided. This list consisted of all of the necessary equipment, tools, and materials for our Ed-Co students to bring their visions to life. We have loved to see our students thriving with hands on learning and experiences. Not only have they learned horticultural skills but they truly have learned the life skill of teamwork. Many of Ed-Co’s classes have practiced co-curriculums within the greenhouse. Our most recent event has been creating taco salads with the help of our Foods classes. Within these salads the students used homemade ingredients consisting of our hydroponic grown lettuce. Students, community members, and our very own faculty have seen the impact of interactive learning. The STEM class will have many varieties of lettuce that have been grown in their hydroponics lab that will be up for grabs! If you or anyone you know would like to provide donations or your garden knowledge we would gladly accept all contributions. Without your generosity we would not be able to host our plant sale this May as well as the lessons that have been taught! We hope we have curated a great opportunity for our future Vikings to experience! Go Vikings🖤 💛 -Ellie Kirby a senior at Ed-Co.
