On 11-28-2024 at approximately 1300 hrs., The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Key West Fire Department and the Dubuque Fire Department responded to HWY 151 at the intersection of Skyline RD for a two-vehicle accident involving a semi and trailer vs SUV. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead on arrival, and passenger was transported to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. The passenger was then air flighted to Iowa City. The driver of the semi was also transported to Mercy Hospital and at this time is considered to have only minor injuries. Names of involved parties will be released at approximately 2:00 PM on November 29th, 2024. Pending notifications to family members. Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident.
