Delores Kay Timmerman of Manchester



Delores Kay Timmer, 83, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. She was born on September 8, 1941, in Manchester, the daughter of Glen and Irene (Hahesy) Robinson. She was raised and educated in the Manchester area and attended Manchester High School.


On April 28, 1959, Delores was united in marriage to Donald Timmer at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. Four children were born to this union. Delores worked as a police dispatcher and then managed the Glenn Hotel apartments.


Delores enjoyed sewing, puzzles, visiting with friends, and following high school sporting events. She always enjoyed music and going to dances but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.


Survivors include her four children, Deb Putz of Manchester, Doug (Kathy) Timmer of Manchester, Dan (Sherry) Timmer of Marshalltown, and David (Martha) Timmer of Manchester; nine grandchildren, Chris Putz, Kyle Timmer, Ashley Timmer, Brittany Timmer, Derek Timmer, Seth Timmer, Amber Devick, Hayley Utter and Tyler Timmer; and 15 great grandchildren.


Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald in 2006; siblings, Jim (Virginia) Robinson, Agnes (Ronnie) Frentress, and Marietta Robinson in infancy.


Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester is assisting the family at this time.
