Crawford Meth and Marijuana Possession

On Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, at approximately 1:53 a.m., Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that a traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of US HWY 61 and CTH X in the Township of Clayton. The driver was identified as Kane Groom (21) of Steuben. During the traffic stop, Prairie du Chien Police Department K9 Sheisty was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A vehicle search ensued, and methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were discovered. Groom was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and bail-jumping. Also, Groom was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, failure to have insurance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department.
