The Clayton County Board of Supervisors approved a bid for garbage service, which includes remote sites in the county. The bid went to Kluesner Sanitation. It includes a three-year deal for remote sites in the county, and a five-year contract for the Elkader site.
The Board accepted Rock Bids for 2025. The Northern Half of the County went to CJ Moyna and Sons of Elkader for 289-thousand-five hundred dollars. The Southwest Corner bid went to Bruening Rock Products of Decorah for 305-thousand-seven-hundred dollars. The Southeast Corner bid went to River City Stone of Dubuque for 238-thousand-five-hundred dollars.
Anne Kruse resigned as Assistant Clayton County Attorney. The County will be looking to fill the vacancy.
