On November 14th, 2024, at approximately 10:30 pm Clayton County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Ford pickup truck for high rates of speed. During the stop, deputies detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. The passenger of the vehicle, who was identified as Autumn Pitts, was found to be in possession of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia. Pitts was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Sheriff's Jail charged with Possession of a controlled substance (Marijuana 1st offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On November 20, 2024, at approximately 5:20 PM, Clayton County Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 13/Bridge Street for insufficient number of headlamps. Deputies came into contact with passenger Max Wilson (26) of Maynard lowa who was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Bremer County. Mr. Wilson was placed under arrest and transported to the Clayton County Jail.
