(Des Moines, IA) -- Alliant Energy annuals electric rate will increase starting next month. The Iowa Utilities Commission approved the request and will require transparency from Alliant energy for future investments. Average monthly electric bills will rise from 13 to 15 dollars. Customers will be notified of the bill changes within 30 days. The new rates will take effect on October 1st.
