Adam Paul Herzog of Guttenberg

Adam Paul Herzog, 45, of Guttenberg, Iowa, passed away on March 25th, 2025, at his home where he resided with his fiancé, Nicki Isaacson.

Adam was born on May 7th, 1979, to Kerry & Barb (Moser) Herzog. He joined a brother, Gregory John (who was his Irish twin as they were only 11 months apart). A little sister, Valerie Lynn, later completed the family in 1982. Adam grew up in Guttenberg where he attended Guttenberg High School with the graduating class of 1998 but decided to join the workforce prior to graduation. He went on to work numerous jobs on the road which he enjoyed, especially painting water towers.

Adam was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend to many! Everyone who knew Adam knew of his passion and courage of his convictions, which was infectious, yet at times, contentious.

Adam is preceded in death by his father, Kerry Lynn Herzog. He is survived by his children: Vincent Earl & Jocelyn Rose Herzog; his mother: Barb (Duane) Iburg; his siblings: Gregory (Donna) Herzog & Valerie (Stephen) Reimer; his Fiancé, Nicki Isaacson; and his nephews: Alex & Josh Herzog, Trenten & Landon Reimer.

A visitation will be held at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg, IA on Friday, April 11th, 2025, from 3 – 7 p.m. with a small potluck meal to follow for friends & family at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (across the street from the Funeral home).
