Active Warrants Arrest

On December 10th, 2024, at approximately 2:22pm, Fayette County Deputies located a wanted subject who had multiple active warrants. Anthony Allen Copley age 38 of Oelwein was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail. Copley had active warrants in Fayette County for Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd offense, Criminal Mischief 1st offense, Burglary in the 3rd degree, Possession of Burglary tools, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 3 counts of Violation of Probation. Copley received additional charges during his arrest, Possession of Marijuana 1st offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd  offense – Methamphetamine, and Interference with Official Acts. Copley is being held in the Fayette County Jail on a No-Bond hold and awaiting an initial appearance on his new charges. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Iowa DNR.
