February 5th Scores

MFL MarMac finished Conference play undefeated by suriving a 46-45 scare from North Fayette/Valley.  Riley Moreland led the Bulldogs with 11.  Bailey Winter scored 9 and Summer Schutte hit 3-three pointers off the bench for 9.  Emma Ney of NFV led all scorers with 14, Abby Reichter added 10.  The Tigerhawks trailed 32-18 at the half and as much as fifteen early in the second half but chipped away.  They closed the third on a 12-1 run to get back within 37-35 heading into the fourth.  The Tigerhawks had a three-point shot bounce around and just out in the closing seconds.  The Bulldogs scored only 14-second half points and shot just 13 of 53-from the field, including just 5 of 26 from three.  NFV was 13 of 36.  MFL MarMac is now 20 and 1, 15 and 0 in the Conference.  North Fayette/Valley falls to 10 and 10, 9 and 5 in the League.

The MFL MarMac Boys closed the game on a 12-4 run to hand North Fayette/Valley just it's second League loss with a 57-50 decision.  Tyler Kurth led the balanced Bulldogs with 13.  Cedrick Drahn scored 12 and Gavin Hertampf added 11.  Sam Koeller scored all 10-of his points in the second half and Cayden Stuckman added 9-off the bench.  North Fayette/Valley was led by Kole Johnson with 11.  Lance Butikofer, Dylan Muggler, and Brennan Imoehl each scored 9.  The previous six games between the two were decided in the final seconds.  This was a two-point game with one minute go to.  MFL MarMac is now 11 and 8, 11 and 4 in the Conference.  North Fayette/Valley drops to 13 and 6, 12 and 2 in the League.
