July 10th Scores

Turkey Valley put up four runs in the third inning and it was enough for a 4-1 Distirct Opening win over Edgewood-Colesburg.  Cale Reicks worked six and two-thirds innings, allowed just four hits, walked three and struck out five to get the win for the Trojans.  Reicks also doubled.  Number eight hitter-Keegan Balk started the big third inning with a double.  Kyle Langreck then tripled in the first run.   Mason Goerend singled and scored.  Evan Drilling also singled and scored, and Simon Schmitt singled in the final run of the inning.  Balk ended up with two hits.  The Trojans ended up with five hits and were helped out by three Ed-Co errors in the inning.  Ed-Co was led by Cory Kloser who had two hits and drove in a run.  Spencer Staner also walked and scored, and singled.  Payton Rochford added a base hit.  Kloser worked five innings, allowing seven hits, four runs, walked one, and struck out four.  Alex Jones finished the final two innings, allowing just a hit and struck out three.  The Vikings close the season at 13 and 15.  Turkey Valley is now 13 and 18.  The Trojand play at South Winn on Thursday at 7pm.  The Warriors handled Postville 15-0 in 4-innings to advance.
