On July 25, 2018 at 2:14pm, Clayton County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 18 near Dolphin Ave for a traffic violation. Deputies came into contact with 31 year old Ashley White of Clermont. Upon further investigation, the Clayton County K9 was deployed and indicated to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Deputies also located several grams of methamphetamine concealed on White’s person. White was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail where she was charged with Delivery of Methamphetamine (Class “B” Felony).

 

 

On July 26, 2018 at 6:51am, Clayton County Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Clayton Rd and 232nd Street. Upon further investigation it was determined that Lonnie Davis Jr of Elkader was operating 1991 Dodge Dynasty on 232nd Street. Davis entered the Clayton Rd and did not see a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Kobe Yoder of Strawberry Point. Both vehicle collided causing $8,500 damage. Davis was cited for failure to obey stop sign and yield right of way.

 

On July 27, 2018 at 8:59am, Clayton County Deputies responded to a car vs deer accident on Canoe Road. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Dane Schroeder of Saint Olaf was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado when he struck a deer causing $20,000 damage.

 

On July 27, 2018, Clayton County Deputies took custody of 20 year old Seth Boardman of Colesburg from Dubuque County Authorities on a Clayton County warrant for Probation Violation. Boardman was transported to the Clayton County Jail where he was held without bond.

 

On July 28, 2018 at 8:04am, Clayton County Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of the Great River Road and Mississippi Road. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Chad Clinton of Colesburg was operating a 2013 Victory Cross Country Motorcycle Northbound on the Great River Road when a 2011 John Deere Skid loader operated by Leroy Bries of Garnavillo entered the roadway from Mississippi Road striking Clinton’s motorcycle causing $16,000 damage. Clinton was transported to the Guttenberg Hospital for treatment of injuries. Bries was cited for failure to yield right of way. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Guttenberg Ambulance, Guttenberg Fire Department and the Guttenberg Police Department.

 

On July 29, 2018 at 1:53pm, Clayton County Deputies responded to a motorcycle vs. deer accident on the Great River Road near Ridge Ave. Upon further investigation it was determined that Carolyn Rude of Mount Morris IL was operating a 2014 Honda Goldwing when she struck a deer causing $4,000 damage. Rude and a passsenger, Trudy Zak of Sycamore, Il were transported to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque for treatment of injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Guttenberg Police Department and Holy Cross Ambulance.

 

On August 1, 2018 at 3:54pm, Clayton County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 13 near Highway 128 for a traffic violation. Deputies came into contact with 21 year old Louis Gnida of Solon. Upon further investigation, K9 Raven was deployed and alerted to the presense of narcotics in the vehicle. Deputies located marijuana, drug paraphernalia and prescription medication within the vehicle. Gnida was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with Possession of a controlled substance 1st offense, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and ulawful possession of a prescription drug.

 

On August 4, 2018 at 6:33am, Clayton County Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle sitting in the middle of the road on Crystal Road near St. Sebald Rd. Deputies came into contact with 23 year old Samuel Debes-Reuter of Strawberry Point. Upon further investigation, Debes-Reuter was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with operating while intoxicated-1st offense.

 

On August 4, 2018, Clayton County Deputies took custody of 29 year old Nicholas Ostrander from Dubuque County Authorities on a Clayton County Warrant for Probation Violation. Ostrander was transported to the Clayton County Jail where he is being held on $750.00 bond.

 

On August 6, 2018, Clayton County Deputies took custody of 22 year old Trevor Moon from Fayette County Authorities on a Clayton County Warrant for Probation Violation. Moon was transported to the Clayton County Jail where he is being held without bond.
