Monona Council

The Monona City Council held a public hearing and approved the first reading of the Zoning Commission Recommendations for annexed properties in the southeast area of Monona.  It includes 13-parcels of land and officially establishes zoning districts for that area.
The Council approved the transfer of a vacated alley property, cleaning up a previous action from July of 1986.
The council also received word that the city now owns the abanoned residential property at 400 South Main Street.  The city will look at selling that lot.
They approved the purchase of a generator for the water tower site for 36-thousand, and they approved the purchase ofa new pickup for the mainenance department for 27-thousand-five-hundred.
