Fair Queen

An Edgewood girl was named the new Clayton County Fair Queen.  17-year old Noelle Kerns, daughter of Jim and Jody Kearns of Edgewood was crowned at the Clayton County Fair Queen Pagent on Wednesday Night.  The Alternate Fair queen is Skylar Moser, 17-year old daughter of Delan and Candice Moser of Monona.  Moser was also named Miss Personality.

Noelle Kerns is the 17-year-old daughter of Jim and Jody Kearns of Edgewood. She is being sponsored by Edgewood Locker, Inc. Noelle is actively involved with FFA, 4-H, Girl Scouts, 4-H County Council and FBLA. In her FFA chapter, she is currently serving as President. Noelle is involved with her church as an Altar Server and helps with Vacation Bible School as a teacher. At Ed-Co High School, she is involved with speech, National Honor Society and is the wrestling team manager. Noelle is employed at Edgewood Locker and Blooms. Her hobbies include sewing, refinishing furniture, cooking, spending time outdoors, boating and spending time with friends and family. Noelle will be a senior this fall at Ed-CO with plans to attend Iowa State University in the horticulture program.

Skylar Moser is the 17-year-old daughter of Dalen and Candace Moser of Monona. Her sponsor is Quillins, Inc. of Monona. Skylar is a member of the Giard Eager Hands 4-H Club, MFL-Mar-Mac FFA, 4-H County Council and Luther League. At MFL-Mar-Mac High School, she is involved with National Honor Society, Student Council, prom planning, chorus, theater and Young Americans. Her hobbies include playing with baby goats, hiking, kayaking, and four wheeling. She really enjoys traveling and meeting new people with all the groups she is involved with. Skylar is currently employed at Quillins in Monona. This fall she will be a Senior at MFL with plans after high school to attend Kirkwood Community College in the dental hygiene program.

Kristen Willenborg is the 17-year-old daughter of Chad and Annette Willenborg of Guttenberg. Her sponsor is J & L Custom Farming, Joseph & Luke Kann of Guttenberg. Kristen is a member of the Tri-Star FFA where she is Vice President and the Jefferson Go-Hawks 4-H Club. At Clayton Ridge High School, she is involved with volleyball, basketball and prom committee. In her community she is an Altar Server for St. Mary’s Church and mows grass for the Guttenberg Fire Station. Kristen is employed as a lifeguard at Guttenberg Pool and as an CNA at Guttenberg Care Center. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping, boating and working. This fall, Kristen will be a Senior at Clayton Ridge High School with future plans of attending Iowa State University to pursue a degree in Agriculture Business.
