OSHA Fines

A Prairie Du Chien company has been fined more than 120-thousand dollars in connection with the death of an employee. The Telegraph Herald reports that Dillman Equipment Incorporated has reached a settlement with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The settlement followed a six-month investigation following the death of 26-year old Curtis Groom of Wauzeka. The company was cited for multiple safety violations, including that poor visibility and a slippery floor surface containing multiple holes likely contriubted to the death of Groom. The incident occurred back on November 30th, Grooms first day of work at the asphalt mixing plant in Prairie Du Chien.
