Crawford Accidents

On July 28, 2018, at 8:14pm the Crawford County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a one-vehicle traffic crash with injuries on Stoney Point Road near Lovers Lane in the township of Seneca.
Courtney M. Pilger, 19, of Onalaska, WI was operating a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville westbound on Stoney Point Road. While attempting to negotiate a curve, Pilger lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the embankment along the left side of the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn. The Pilger vehicle came to rest on its top in the eastbound lane of the roadway. Pilger and her passenger, Halley M. Fritz, 20, of Tomah, WI were able to exit the vehicle and call 911.
Pilger and Fritz were injured in the crash and were transported to Gundersen in La Crosse. They were both wearing their seatbelts. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was removed from the scene by Scotts Towing. A citation for failure to maintain control was issued to Pilger.
Assisting on scene was the Gays Mills Fire Department, Ocooch Mountain Rescue, Ferryville First Responders, North Crawford Rescue, Seneca Fire Department, and Scotts Towing.


On July 27, 2018, at approximately 7:28pm the Crawford County Communications Center received a report of a one-vehicle traffic crash on Wall Ridge Road at Betty Lane in the township of Eastman.
Ali D. Woods, age 17, of Ferryville was operating a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze eastbound on Wall Ridge Road. While attempting to negotiate a curve at Betty Lane, the Woods vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, striking a Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative utility pole.
Woods was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. The vehicle sustained severe damage to the front passenger side. Woods was cited for failure to maintain control.
Assisting on scene was the Eastman Fire Department, Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative, and Bob’s Towing.
