Volga Council

The Volga City Council met for a special meeting on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the Volga City Hall. Mayor Pete Duff called the meeting to order at 7pm. Council members Elaine Follon, Dennis Christeleit, Jerome Godson, Mike Howard, and Darren Nading answered Roll Call.

Christeleit motioned to approve the culvert replacement project on Butler Street, with an approximate cost of $1200. A second culvert will be cleaned out and ditchwork completed on White Street. Follon seconded. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

Howard motioned to approve an Oak Street bridge usage permit for Moyna Materials based on recommendations from the county engineer. The renewable permit expires December 31, 2018 and allows for up to 10 loads per year, not to exceed a gross weight of 50,000 lbs per straight truck or 80,0000 lbs per tractor/trailer per load. Follon seconded. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

Godson motioned to adjourn. Follon seconded. All voted in favor. Meeting was adjourned at 7:25pm.
