On 7-6-18, at approximately 0815 hours, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office was notified of a personal injury accident near the intersection of Deerfield Rd and 310th St., Postville.  When Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on scene, it was found that Kirk Mathew Vigen, 49 of St. Olaf, was northbound on Deerfield Rd, when he lost control of his vehicle.  Minor injuries were sustained and damage to the 2006 Hummer SUV was estimated at $6,000.  Vigen was cited for Failure to Maintain Control, a simple misdemeanor.   Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Postville Fire Department, Clermont Fire Department, and Clermont Ambulance Service.  

On July 3, 2018 at 10:20 am, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office was notified of a single vehicle accident in the 200 block of 1st Street North in Maynard. Upon further investigation by Sheriff's Deputy it was determined that a 16 year old female was driving a 2013 Chrysler southbound when she lost control striking a bridge. The vehicle sustained $3,000.00 damage the bridge sustained approximately $1,000.00 damage. No injuries and the driver was cited for failure to maintain control.
