On May 21, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a domestic dispute in Earlville, IA. Upon investigation, Jordan Zehr, of Earlville, IA, was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault; Obstruction of Emergency Communications; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Driving While License Denied or Revoked.

On May 20, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office received an assault call at a residence in Dundee, IA. Upon investigation, James L. Missel, of Dundee, IA, was charged with Assault and received a summons to appear in court at a later date.

On May 18, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on James Ellison III, of Manchester, IA, for Sex Offender Registration Violation. The charge stems from information received through compliance checks conducted by the Sheriff's Office on registrants.

On May 15, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Duane Belt of Ryan, IA for Sex Offender Registration Violation. The charge stems from information received through compliance checks conducted by the Sheriff's Office on registrants.

On May 12, 2018, at approximately 11:26 a.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office was called to a vehicle-deer accident on 197th Avenue. Robin Kinney, of Manchester, IA, was traveling northbound on 197th Avenue when she swerved to miss a deer and went into the ditch.

On May 12, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 20 near MM 285. Anne T. Schumacher, of Des Moines, IA, was charged with Operating While Under the Influence 1st Offense. She was also cited with Open Container.

On May 7, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office charged John R. Schilt, of Monticello, IA, with Assault. The charge stems from an incident at the Delaware County Jail.

On May 6, 2018, at approximately 1:17 a.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office was called to a vehicle-deer accident on Hwy 3 near Pilot Rd. Travis Halsey, of Manchester, IA, was traveling east on Hwy 3 when a deer entered the roadway and he was unable to avoid striking the deer.

On May 6, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Jill M. Schwietert, of Colesburg, IA for Theft 3rd Degree; Theft 2nd Degree; 2 counts of Identity Theft over $1,000 under $10,000; and Unauthorized Use of Credit Card. The charge stems from a fraud complaint received on March 11, 2018.

On May 5, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Jet Rd / Laser Rd, near Edgewood, IA. Cody W. Kleinlein, of Dundee, IA, was charged with Operating While Under the Influence 1st Offense. He was also cited with Driving on Wrong Side of Two Way Highway

On May 3, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Rowdy Cuffe, of Manchester, IA for Sex Offender - Verification Violation 1st Offense. The charge stems from Cuffe failing to appear for registry verification.

On May 2,, 2018, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office served a warrant on Brodrick J. Sevart, of Delhi, IA for four counts of Controlled Substance Violation; Failure to Affix Drug Stamp; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The charges stem from an investigation and subsequent search warrant.

On May 1, 2018, at approximately 9:03 a.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office was called to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 13. Courtney Nauman, of Dubuque, IA, was traveling southbound on Hwy 13 when she crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle driven by Daniel Kintzle, of Delhi, IA, sending Nauman's vehicle into the east ditch. On April 30, 2018, at approximately 1:43 p.m. the Delaware County Sheriff's Office was called to a two-vehicle accident on 230th Avenue. Charles Elsinger, of Epworth, IA, was traveling northbound on 230th Avenue when he failed to yield to the right of way from the stop sign and struck, Thomas Krapfl, of Delhi, IA. Elsinger was cited with Fail to Obey Stop Sign and Yield Right of Way.
