2 veh crash
On 5-11-18 at approximately , Tyler Waterman, 18 of Boscobel, and Samantha Brown, 21 of Blue River, were driving westbound on Hwy 133 in Boscobel Township. Samantha slowed down for a slow moving dump truck in front of her. Tyler had looked down and when he looked back up it was too late to avoid the crash and he struck Samantha's 2012 Chevy causing moderate rear end damage. Tyler's 2007 Pontiac had moderate front end damage and was towed from the scene by Fry's towing. neither party was injured in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

Speeding violation leads to drug charges
On 5/12/18, Jarad J. Heim, 18, of Shullsburg, was stopped for speeding on Hwy 11 in the Township of Hazel Green. During the contact it was discovered Jarad had two active warrants for his arrest. Additionally, cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were found in his possession. Jarad was arrested and transported to the Grant County Jail.

On May 14, 2018, at 7:47 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff's Office was notified of a one vehicle crash on USH 61 near Hudson Hollow Road.  The investigation shows a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze was being operated north on USH 61 by Damian Kauffman, 16, of Hazel Green. As Kauffman was traveling north, he fell asleep, crossed over the southbound lane of traffic and crashed into a guardrail. Kauffman then continued down an embankment before the vehicle came to rest. Kauffman was transported to the Grant Regional Health Center with minor injuries. Assisting at the crash scene were units from the Lancaster Fire and EMS, Grant County Highway Department and Arrow Towing.  Kauffman was cited for Inattentive Driving.
