The Central School Board met April 23 and presented a counter-proposal to the Central Education Association for a new contract.  The CEA’s initial proposal was a total package increase of 3.88% with a $575 base salary increase and step and lane movement.  Central’s counter-proposal was a 2% increase, a $620 base salary increase and no step or lane movement.  Both sides will meet again at a later meeting.

Board members also approved a $15,900 bid from Environment Management Services of Iowa, Dubuque, for asbestos removal.
