One Vehicle crash, minor injuries
On April 14, 2018 at approximately 4:55 p.m., John Bigler, age 27 of Sherrill, IA, was driving eastbound on County Trunk Highway H operating his 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan when he hit an icy spot in the roadway, spun out of control, went off the left or north shoulder of the road, spinning out of control, striking a utility pole, breaking it. The vehicle came to rest on its side. Cuba City Fire, EMS and Police arrived on scene and assisted both individuals out of the vehicle. John Bigler and his passenger, Alania Bigler, age 26, were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash and had very minor injuries. The vehicle was towed by Munyon's Wrecker Service.
1 vehcle rollover with no injury
On April 14, 2018 the Grant County Sheriff's Department received a report of a one vehicle rollover accident that occurred on Hwy 80/81 near Blockhouse Rd in Platteville Township. Sean Mckenzie (40) of Platteville was traveling south bound on Hwy 80/81 in a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he lost control on the icy roadway. This vehicle left the (west) right side of the roadway, slid along the roadway on the shoulder and rolled over one time. Tiffany Lense (37) of Platteville and three minor children were also in the vehicle. Nobody was injured and no citations were issued.
Snow causes crash with minor injuries
On 4-14-18, at around 7:45 pm, a 2006 Hyndaui was traveling south on Hwy 151, driven by Abdulrahman Salman Alsaffar, age 25 of Platteville. He lost control in the snow and struck the rock wall. He was transported to Southwest Health Center by Dickeyville EMS. His passenger, Fahad Aldoaari, age 25 of Madison, was not injured. The vehicle was removed by Guys Towing.
