CFS18-06937 03/24/18 1830 HWY 11, HAZEL GREEN, WI 53811
On Saturday 24 March 2018 at approximately 2024 hrs., Krista Lee Hemple-Anderson (51) of Dubuque was traveling west on STH 11 at a high rate of speed in a 2000 Buick LeSabre. Hemple-Anderson came upon a 2016 Dodge Journey being driven by Annette J. Story (39) of Scales Mound IL., that was stopped with its turn signal on waiting to turn into a driveway. Hemple-Anderson attempted to pass the vehicle on the right, entered the north ditch and crashed into a truck and trailer being operated by David R. Roth (55) of Hazel Green who was backing into the driveway. The force of the crash caused the 2018 Kaufman trailer to come unhooked from the 2016 Dodge Ram truck. The Dodge Ram truck then crashed into a legally parked 2000 Volkswagen Passat.
The passenger who was in Hemple-Anderson's vehicle, Terrance Gross, age 55 of Dubuque, Ia, sustained injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Midwest Medical Center by the Hazel Green EMS. Roth also sustained injuries as a result of the crash. According to witness statements, Hemple-Anderson climbed out of the Buick, ran to the road where she got into the passenger seat of the stopped vehicle that had been waiting to turn into the driveway. When that driver got out to check on the occupants of the Dodge Ram, Hemple-Anderson took possession of the Dodge Journey without permission and continued west on STH to Dubuque. Dubuque officers found= the stolen Dodge Journey in an alley unoccupied. Hemple-Anderson was not located and the following charges are being forwarded to the

Two Car Crash
On March 27, 2018 at about 4:19 PM the Grant County Sheriff's Office received a call of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of W. Main Street and Church Street in Dickeyville, WI. The investigating deputy learned that Macy Pritchard, 26, of Dickeyville, was driving her 2014 Ford Escape going west on Main Street at Church Street. Suzanne Tranel, 61, of Dickeyville, was driving her 2009 Chrysler Sebring going north on
Church Street. Tranel had stopped at the stop sign and pulled out as Pritchard was coming through the intersection. Tranel said she did not see Pritchard due to other cars that were parked along the south side of W. Main Street, east of the intersection. When Tranel pulled out, the two vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. Both Pritchard and
Tranel were wearing seatbelts. Pritchard reported a possible injury but refused transport by EMS. The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Dickeyville Fire Department, Dickeyville EMS, Guy's Truck and Tractor of Kieler, and
Donnie's Tire and Auto of Dickeyville. The crash remains under investigation.
