On March 2nd, 2018 The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took Nathan S. Guyer, age 23 of Clermont into custody on a mittimus warrant for failure to serve jail time, original charge of Operating While Intoxicated. Nathan will be held at the Fayette County Jail until completion of his jail sentence.


On March 2nd, 2018 The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took Janel K. Helfter, age 42 of Fayette into custody on valid warrant for Providing False Information for a Citation. Helfter was held on a $1,000.00 bond.


On March 3rd, 2018 Fayette County Deputies arrested Bradley Richard James Cue, age 39 of Hazleton. After conducting an investigation, it was discovered that Bradley, who was barred from driving, had dropped off a female subject at the Sheriff’s Office to visit an inmate and at approximately 2:34 PM had returned to pick her up.  Bradley was charged for driving while barred (aggravated misdemeanor), Possession of controlled substance-3rd or subsequent (class D felony), Possession of drug paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor), and failure to provide proof of financial liability (simple misdemeanor). Bradly was held at the Fayette County Jail for initial appearance before a magistrate.



On March 3, 2018 at approximately 11:00 pm the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an underage drinking party located north of Westgate on 110th Street. Upon further investigation by Sheriff’s Deputies it was determined that there were multiple individuals in possession of alcohol under the legal age (simple misdemeanor). The individuals cited for possession are: Grant Franklin Cervetti Slifer, age 18 of Oelwein; Dennis H Detweiler, age 19 of Fairbank; Mason David Sanderson, age 19 of Hazleton; Alexya Desire Nuss, age 19 of Oelwein; Carter Wade Block, age 19 of Oelwein; Norman R Nisley, age 19 of Fairbank; Brady Leland Woodward, age 19 of Oelwein; Raymond J Raber, age 20 of Cresco; Erwin H Raber, age 20 of Sumner; and Ben E Gingerich, age 20 of Hazleton. Furthermore, 11 juveniles were referred to juvenile court for possession of alcohol under the legal age.



On 3-5-18 at approximately 1:00 am Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of Neon road. A Fayette county deputy located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on it at 18th Street and Neon Road. Upon investigation Amojean Stevenson, 18 of Oelwein was cited for violation of an instructional permit and a passenger Derek Factor, 20 of New Hampton was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Failure to Appear with an original charge of driving while license suspended. Stevenson was cited and release and Factor was transported to the Fayette County Jail.



On 3-3-18 at approximately 2am a Fayette County Deputy stopped a car for an equipment violation. Upon investigation the driver, who is a minor, was discovered to be in possession of a quantity of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver was released to his guardian and the charges are being referred to juvenile court services for processing.
