THE GUTTENBERG CITY COUNCIL SET MARCH 12TH AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE CITY BUDGET.  THE PROPOSED LEVY IS EXPECTED TO DECREASE SLIGHTLY, DOWN TO $14.63-PER THOUSAND.
THE COUNCIL APPROVED AN AGREEMENT WITH CITY UNION EMPLOYEES, CALLING FOR A 45-CENT AN HOUR WAGE INCREASE AND NO CHANGES TO INSURANCE.
THE COUNCIL ALSO APPROVED WORKING WITH CASEY'S GENERAL STORE IN REGARD TO THE DEKALB STREET PROJECT.  THE PROPOSAL IS TO LOWER THE ROAD AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS.
THE COUNCIL APPROVED A SLIGHT INCREASE IN ELECTRICAL RATES FOR THE CITY.
