Winneshiek Fatalities

TWO DECORAH TEENS WERE KILLED AND FOUR OTHERS INJURED IN A TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN WINNEHSIEK COUNTY.  THE IOWA STATE PATROL REPORTS THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED AROUND 8:30AM ON MONDAY MORNING ON COUNTY ROAD W-40, JUST SOUTH OF 173RD AVENUE.  17-YEAR OLD AVERY ARNESON OF DECORAH WAS TRAVLING NORTHBOUND IN A 99 OLDS ALERO WHEN HE LOST CONTROL.  THE ARNESON VEHICLE CROSSED THE CENTER LINE AND SLID SIDEWAYS, AND WAS HIT IN THE PASSENGES SIDE BY A SOUTHBOUND VEHICLE OPERATED BY 15-YEAR OLD GAGE DAHLBERG OF DECORAH WHO WAS OPERATING AN 08 FORD F-150.  AVERON ARNSEON AND A PASSENGER, 13-YEAR OLD ADEN ARNESON, WERE KILLED IN THE ACCIDENT.  THREE OTHERS PASSENGERS, 14-YEAR OLD ALEXENDAR ARNESON, 14-YEAR OLD JAMES ARNESON, AND 15-YEAR OLD JACK ARNESON WERE ALSO INJURED.  ALEXANDER ARNESON WAS TAKEN TO A CLINIC IN DECORAH.  ALL THE OTHERS, INCLUDING DALHBERG, WERE TAKEN TO THE DECORAH HOSPITAL.
