Vision Blitz

By: News Release
Feb 1st, 2018

The Clayton County Development Group is collaborating with the multiple partners to conduct a new Small Business Visitation Blitz throughout the month of February. The purpose of the visits is to learn about the businesses, identify their possible needs and opportunities for growth, and thank them for their dedication and commitment to Clayton County. Visiting teams will consist of representatives of the Clayton County Development Group (CCDG), local development organizations, community leaders and business assistance providers. The program is part of the County’s Regional Entrepreneurship Project.

Similar visits done in other Iowa counties have proven to be helpful and productive for business owners, service providers and local leaders. Each visit involves a team of two or three individuals dropping by businesses for a 10-15 minute informal discussion related to business operations, plans and needs within the business community. All information collected remains confidential and is used to identify programming needs and connect businesses to available resources.

The visit schedule is:

• Monona, Luana, Postville Feb. 8

• Edgewood, Strawberry Point Feb. 14

• McGregor, Marquette, Farmersburg, St. Olaf Feb. 16

• Guttenberg, Clayton, North Buena Vista, Garnavillo Feb. 20

• Elkader, Elkport, Garber & Volga Feb. 23
