On January 23, 2018 the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a vandalism at a residence near Randalia.  After an investigation, it was learned that 20 year old Aaron Swearingen and 20 year old Paul Franzen, both of Fayette vandalized a vehicle, causing over $1000 of damage.  They were arrested and charged for Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.  Both were transported to the Fayette County Jail where they were held for an initial appearance in court.


On January 23, 2018 at approximately 11:08 PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received report of a red Jeep CJ7 driving erratically eastbound on Highway 18 near the Chickasaw County Line.  A Fayette County Deputy located the Jeep, witnessed the erratic driving, and attempted to stop the vehicle.  The vehicle initially failed to stop, but eventually pulled over.  The driver was identified as 22 year old Daniel Michael Cullen Jr. of West Union.  Upon investigation Cullen was found to be intoxicated and had a firearm concealed on his person.  Cullen was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail on charges of Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense, Carrying Weapons, Eluding a Law Enforcement Vehicle, Driving on the Wrong Side of a Two-way Highway, and Open Container.  Cullen was held awaiting appearance before a magistrate.  The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assited by the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office.
