On 12/4/2017 at approx. 7:36 am Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a motor vehicle in the ditch on 110th street just east of Y Ave.  Ounce Deputies arrived it was learned that 18 year old Claire Egan was traveling East on 110th street, in a 2001 Toyota Camry,  when a deer entered the roadway.  Egan swerved to avoid collision with the deer and entered the north ditch.  Egan’s vehicle sustained approx. $3000.00 in damages and she was complaining of minor injuries.  Egan was transport via private vehicle to the hospital to be checked out. 

On December 2nd, 2017 Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies we’re called to the 1000 block of Bell Road in reference to a car vs. deer accident. Upon arrival it was discovered that Alan Thornton, age 61 of Decorah was traveling Westbound when he struck a deer that was traveling across the roadway in his 2017 Nissan Murano. Minor injuries were reported and the Nissan sustained approximately $8,000.00 in damages. The Fayette County Sheriffs Office was assisted by Arlington Ambulance and Fire.

On 12-1-17 at approx. 9:56 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car vs deer accident on Hwy 18 north of Clermont. Upon further investigation the driver of the 2015 Chrysler Van Michael L. Corcoran 27 of West Union was traveling south when a deer entered into the roadway and stuck the front end of the van causing approx. $4500.00 damage. No one was injured in the accident.

On 11-29-17 at approx. 8:57 p.m.  the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car vs. deer accident on Hwy 187 north of 50th St. Upon further investigation the driver of the 2014 Buick, Kayleen L. Schott 43 of Arlington was traveling north when a deer entered the roadway and Schott was unable to avoid striking the deer causing approx. $5000.00 damage to the vehicle. No one was injured in the accident.
