Crawford Arrests

On November 21st, 2017 The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit was patrolling in the village of Gays Mills, when he observed suspicious a 1994 Chevrolet Astro Van. The vehicle had pulled off on Rebecca Street and the driver turned off the lights. The deputy made contact with the vehicle and found three occupants all hiding in the rear of the van. The occupants were identified as David Roberts, age 34, and Brandy Robinson age 39 both from La Crosse and Cassandra Neff, age 30, of Fennimore. Roberts and Neff were both discovered to be on active probation for possession of methamphetamine.
K-9 Breck was utilized for a vehicle sniff and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances. Roberts was found to be in possession of approximately quarter of an ounce of methamphetamine. Located In the vehicle were several plastic baggies with white residue, a small plastic bag of powder methamphetamine, methamphetamine smoking device and two hypodermic needles with liquid methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Roberts was arrested and charged with Operating with a restricted controlled substance 1st offense, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Neff was arrested and also charged with operating with a restricted controlled substance 3rd offense, party to a crime- possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and operating after revocation.
Robinson was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On November 18th, 2017, The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit was patrolling in the village of Gays Mills, WI when he observed a vehicle with false license plates on the vehicle. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on De La Mater road and Highway 131. The driver was identified as Thomas Murphy, age 31, of De Soto, WI. Murphy was discovered to be on active probation for possession with intent to deliver marijuana. In speaking with Murphy, the deputy observed in plain view marijuana inside the vehicle.

K-9 Breck was utilized and open free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances. Murphy was found to be in possession of numerous grams of marijuana, two opiate medications for which he did not have a valid prescription for, digital scale and numerous drug paraphernalia items.

Murphy was arrested for probation violation, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, operate with a restricted controlled substance 2nd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
