On November 20th, 2017 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Fayette County Sheriffs Deputies we’re called to the area of J Ave. just South of 250th Street in reference to a semi and trailer in the ditch. Upon arrival it was discovered that Joseph R. Henning, age 19 of Ossian was traveling North on J Ave. when he lost control of the 2006 Freightliner Conventional Columbia semi he was driving. Henning then traveled into the East ditch. No injuries were reported and the Freighliner Semi and attached trailer sustained only minor damages. Henning was cited for failure to maintain control (a simple misdemeanor).  

On November 20, 2017 Johnson County Authorities arrested Adam Joseph Olsen age 34 of Iowa city on a Fayette County Mittimus for failure to do Jail time (Contempt of Court: Original Charge Possession of Marijuana). Mr. Olsen is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail until he has completed his 2 day jail sentence.

On 11/21/2017 at approx. 10:07 a.m. Fayette County Sheriff’s OFfice received a 911 call of a one vehicle rollover accident at the intersection of 100th St. and T Ave.  When Deputies arrived it was learned that 56 year old Nazario Uribe was traveling west on 100th street in a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, when a vehicle in front of him slowed to turn south on T Ave.  Uribe swerved to avoid collision with the vehicle in front of him and lost control, entering the north ditch and rolling his vehicle on the driver side.  Uribe was not injured however his vehicle is considered a total loss.  Uribe was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to provide proof of financial liability-accident.  Fayette County Deputies were assisted on scene by Westgate Fire and EMS, and SEMS Ambulance.
