On 11-18-17, at approximately 10:15 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a call of a single vehicle accident at the Rec Center in West Union.  After Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on scene, it was found that Gerald Lee Olson, 76 of West Union, was leaving the Rec Center, when the vehicle's breaks locked up and collided with a tree.  No injuries were sustained and damage to the 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis was considered a total loss. This accident remains under investigation.


On 11/16/17 the Fayette County Sheriff’s Officer arrested Herbert Paul Craven Jr age 52 from Dubuque. Craven was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Probation Violation. Craven was transported from the Dubuque County Jail to the Fayette County Jail where he is being held without bond.


On 11/18/2017 at approx. 7:52 AM Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle rollover accident on Cedar Rd just north of Bighorn Rd.  Once Deputies arrived it was learned that Susan Kress, 60 of Clinton was traveling south on Cedar RD in her 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer towing a twin axle enclosed U Haul trailer.  Kress lost control of her vehicle thus entered the east ditch cause the vehicle and trailer to overturn and rest on the passenger side.  Kress was not injured and her vehicle is considered a total loss.  Kress was cited for failure to maintain control.  Fayette County Deputies where assisted on scene by Tri-State Ambulance and Wadena Fire Dept.


On November 18, 2017 at approximately 02:18 AM a Fayette County deputy stopped a 2018 Ford truck for traveling in excess of the posted speed limit on Highway 150 south of Fayette.  Upon investigation 26 year old Nicholas Matthew Gonzalez of Miles, Texas was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.  Gonzalez was transported to the Fayette County Jail.  He was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense and Speeding. 



On November 17, 2017 Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested David James Fuller age 55 of Rural Fayette On a Black Hawk County Warrant for probation violation he was transferred to Black Hawk County Jail where he is being held without bond pending his appearance before a magistrate.


On 11-20-17 at approximately 12:57 AM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance at a residence in Hawkeye.  Deputies responded and upon investigation 58 year old Ned Roy Fox was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail.  Fox was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault (Simple Misdemeanor) and held awaiting appearance before a magistrate.
