THE CLAYTON RIDGE SCHOOL BOARD RE-ELECTED JOHN HEYING AS BOARD PRESIDENT AND CHRISTINA AULWES AS VICE-PRESIDENT.
THE BOARD APPROVED THE RESIGNATION OF ANGELA COOK AS VARSITY SOFTBALL AND CROSS COUNTRY COACH.  TADD SCHUTTE RESIGNED AS MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL COACH.
THE BOARD APPROVED THE HIRING OF BOB SWEERS AS MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS AND BOYS BASKETBALL COACH, AND J-T CUNNINGHAM AS ASSISTANT VARSITY WRESTLING COACH.

The following action was taken at the Clayton Ridge Organizational meeting:

1)  John Heying was re-elected board president and Christina Aulwes was re-elected Vice President
2)  Mary Seifert was appointed board secretary with a $.40/hr. increase and David Schlueter was appointed board treasurer
3)  Regular meeting times will remain on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM with Jan-June being held in Garnavillo and July-Dec. held in Guttenberg
4)  The Guttenberg Press was named as the district’s official newspaper
5)  The three local banks will remain as the district’s depositories
6)  Lynch Dallas Law Firm of Cedar Rapids was appointed as legal council for the district.
7)  Heying, Ihde and Finnegan were appointed to the negotiations team
8)  Finnegan was appointed to the county conference board
9)  The FFA trip to the National Convention in Indianapolis was approved
10) Resignations were accepted as follows:              Angela Cook as Head Varsity Softball Coach and Head Varsity Cross Country Coach
   Tadd Schutte as Middle School Volleyball Coach
11)  The following new hires were approved:      Bob Sweers as Middle School Girls Basketball, Middle School Boys Basketball and Middle School Girls Track
    JT Cunningham as Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach
12)  Approved payment to BLDD in the amount of $61,552.41 for construction documents
13)  Approved a request for Allowable Growth and Supplemental Aid for the amount of $140,240.68 to cover the special education deficit
14)  Approved the open enrollment requests of Ty Berns to attend Central from Clayton Ridge and Gage Pitzer to attend Clayton Ridge from Central.  Seven applications were denied to the Iowa Virtual Academy due to late filings and denials by the resident district.
15)  A use of facility request was approved for the Garnavillo Daycare to use the middle school gym on December 2nd for the annual holiday bazaar
       A use of facility request was approved for the boys scouts to use the MPR in the elementary for their meetings while the municipal building was being updated.
16)  Approved the changes to the early retirement plans as recommended by administration
17)  Approved the completion of a medicaid claim document by the Dubuque Comm. District on a Clayton Ridge student attending their special education program
