Luana City Council Minutes of October 5, 2017

Meeting at Luana City Hall

The Luana City Council held their monthly meeting Thursday, October 5, 2017at 7:00 pm. with Council Members Lonnie Baade, Brenda Boddicker, Paul Miller, Todd Olson and Jackie Radloff-Schneider present. Absent: None.

Mayor Jerry Schroeder called meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

Minutes of September meeting were reviewed and approved upon a motion by Radloff-Schneider second by Olson, carried unanimously.

Boddicker motioned to pay all monthly claims totaling $27,388.25, Miller second, carried unanimously. Receipts for the month totaled $39,881.38. Baade motioned to pass Res. 10-17 T.O.F, Radloff-Schneider second, carried unanimously. Council reviewed reconciled reports.

Council reviewed waste water treatment facility property acquisition evaluation from MSA. Layout of lagoon cells and amount of land needed were discussed. Consensus of council to speak with property owner about possible purchase of needed land.

Olson motioned to approve FY 2017 Annual Urban Renewal Report, Res. 2017-10, Boddicker second, carried unanimously.

Council reviewed completed 2017AFR.

Administrator Humble asked for budget request be brought to next meeting. Options for supporting new fire department building were discussed.

PWS informed council that Railroad Company has been contacted regarding road repair needed at crossings.

Next regular council meeting will be held November 2, 2017 at 7:00pm.

Mayor Schroeder adjourned the meeting at 8:05 pm.
