The Central Community School Board met September 18 and elected Jared Finley board president.  Finley replaces Rob Frieden.  Mike Whittle was elected board vice-president, replacing Finley in that position.

Board members approved design plans from Struxture Architecture, Waterloo, for the school’s remodeling project.  Struzture will now begin work on bid documents for the remodeling.

A bid of $7,158.94, submitted by J&C Overhead Doors, Monona, was approved by the board for new bus garage doors.  Board members also approved Paula Johnson to be an associate.

The board was also informed that due to injuries on the Central football team, the Homecoming game with Don Bosco has been cancelled.  All other Homecoming activities will take place as scheduled.
