 ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 4:07 PM THE CRAWFORD COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED OF A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES ON STATE HIGHWAY 171 ABOUT 4 TENTHS OF A MILE EAST OF STATE HIGHWAY 131 IN THE VILLAGE OF GAYS MILLS, WI.

JEREMY R. SHANNON, AGE 41 OF FAYETTE, IA WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON STATE HIGHWAY 171 ON A 2008 SUZUKI VZR 1800 MOTORCYCLE. THE SHANNON CYCLE WAS NEGOTIATING A SHARP CURVE DOWNHILL WHEN THE CYCLE TIPPED ON IT’S SIDE, SLID ACROSS THE EASTBOUND LANE OF TRAFFIC, STRUCK A GUARDRAIL AND CAME TO REST.

MR. SHANNON AND HIS PASSENGER 41-YEAR-OLD JODI J. DRUECKER OF SUMNER, IA WERE BOTH TRANSPORTED TO VERNON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TO BE TREATED FOR INJURIES SUSTAINED IN THE ACCIDENT.

THE ACCIDENT REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.

ASSISTING AT THE SCENE WAS: OCOOCH MOUNTAIN RESCUE, GAYS MILLS FIRST RESPONDERS, AND THE GAYS MILLS FIRE DEPARTMENT.


 On Tuesday, Sept 5, 2017, at 5:33 am the Crawford County Sheriff Office received a report of a one vehicle accident in Seneca township, on County F, east of Oppriecht Lane.

A west bound 2012 Dodge pickup truck owned and operated by 23-year-old Teagan Cornell of Steuben went off the south side of the road and came to rest against a tree.
There were no injuries.
The road was partially blocked for approximately one while the truck was removed.

Cornell was ticketed for Inattentive Driving.

The vehicle appears to be a total loss.
Assisting was Seneca Fire & First Responders, Tri-State, and Milo`s Towing.
