On 9-3-17, at approximately 12:40 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christain Henry Opperman, 22 of Fayette, for Driving While License Suspended, a simple misdemeanor.  Opperman was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where he awaits initial appearance. 


On 9-1-2017 at approx. 11:30 PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office  took a 911 call of a vehicle that was rolled onto its top and in the ditch. Upon investigation Christian Nichols, 21 of Sumner was travelling east on 170th street near X Ave. when a deer allegedly entered the roadway causing the driver to lose control and enter the north ditch. There were no injuries reported and the vehicle sustained approximately $4500 worth of damage. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Sumner Fire and Rescue, Sumner Ambulance, and Fayette County Conservation.


On 9-3-17 at approximately 1:56 AM a Fayette County Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. After a short pursuit the vehicle finally pulled over. Upon investigation Joseph Sodoma, 31 of West Union was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st offense, Felony Eluding, Possession of Drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and speeding. He is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail awaiting and initial appearance.
