Luana City Council Minutes of July 6, 2017

Meeting at the Luana City Hall

The Luana City Council held their regular monthly meeting Thursday, July 6, 2017at 7:00 pm. with Council Members Brenda Boddicker, Paul Miller, Todd Olson and Jackie Radloff-Schneider present. Absent: Lonnie Baade.

Mayor Jerry Schroeder called meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

Minutes of June meeting were reviewed and approved upon a motion by Radloff-Schneider, second by Miller, carried unanimously.

Miller motioned to pay all monthly claims totaling $18,582.52, Boddicker second, carried unanimously. Receipts for the month totaled $25,516.52. Olson motioned to pass Res. 7-17 T.O.F, Boddicker second, carried unanimously. Council reviewed reconciled reports.

Council again reviewed dog attack which occurred on May 13, 2017. Upon receiving additional information and copy of filed police report the consensus of council was that dog was not in violation of City Code 3.11.

Council discussed possible purchasing of land for expansion of current lagoon system. Engineer will be contacted to determine amount of landed needed for project.

Council reviewed information concerning IOWARN program. Olson motioned to become members of IOWARN program, Miller second, carried unanimously.

Olson motioned first reading of Ord. 2017-01, Operation of All-Terrain Vehicles and Golf Carts on City Streets, Miller second first reading, carried unanimously.

Next regular Council meeting will be held August 3, 2017 at 7:00pm.

Mayor Schroeder adjourned the meeting at 8:05 pm.
