On June 27th at approximately 6:02 p.m., Brian M Loeffelholz, age 39 of Hazel Green, was traveling north on Fairplay Road when he crested the hill and noticed two vehicles in the road near Coon Road. In an attempt to avoid a crash, Loeffelholz swerved, over corrected and overturned in the ditch. The two vehicles that were in the road were stopped talking about directions. Neither Loeffelholz nor his 7 year old son were injured in the crash. Both were wearing their seatbelts. The 2002 ford econoline van was totaled in the crash. Sedbrooks towing of
East Dubuque removed the van. The crash remains under investigation.

Car vs Fire Truck crash
On June 29th at approximately 8:58 pm, the Grant County Sheriff's Office took a report of a car vs fire truck crash on Hwy 80 in Clifton Township. The Montfort Fire Department had Hwy 80 closed due to power lines across the highway from the severe storm that occurred this evening. A Montfort fire truck was parked on Hwy 80 on the center line of the roadway. The fire truck was fully marked with reflective striping
and had emergency lights activated. Montfort Fire Fighter Frederick Divall was directing traffic on the north side of the fire truck. Divall observed a southbound red car approaching at highway speeds. Divall attempted to signal to the vehicle with a lighted traffic wand to stop. The southbound vehicle did not slow down. Divall jumped out of the way of the vehicle as it sped by him. The southbound vehicle hit the fire
truck then careened off the west side of the roadway. Steven Martin, 55 of rural Highland was the driver of the southbound vehicle that struck the fire truck. Martin was driving his 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. No injuries were reported on scene. Martin was cited for operate without a driver's license, fail to yield to emergency vehicle, and inattentive driving. The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Montfort EMS, Montfort Fire, And Hasse's Towing of Montfort.

Two vehicle minor crash
HWY 35/61/151, HAZEL GREEN, WI
On June 29th, around 5:40pm the Grant County Sheriff's Office received a report of a minor crash at Hwy 11 and Hwy 151 in Jamestown Township. Two vehicles were heading south bound on Hwy 151. A 1991 Mack truck driven by John H Farmer 68, of Strawberry Point IA and a 1999 Hyundai Sonata driven by Kelsey A. Dalton, age 21 of Dubuque IA. Farmer was making a lane change to allow traffic to enter from the on ramp. Farmer's front driver's side bumper struck Dalton's rear passenger side. Dalton's vehicle spun 180 degrees and came to rest in the median. Both vehicles had minor damage. No injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.

On 6-30-17 at approximately 1:00pm, Gavin Bell, 18 of Boscobel, was west bound on Riley RD. Gaven hit some gravel while negotiating a curve. Gavin's 2010 Dodge Avenger went off the roadway and struck a fence. There was moderate damage to the vehicle and Gavin was not injured.

Rollover Crash with Injury
On the above date at 10:45 pm, on McAdam Rd west of the intersection of Morgan Rd, Jamestown Township, Zachary Reisen, age 17 of Dubuque, IA, was traveling westbound on McAdam Rd when he lost control of his 2015 Jeep Patriot. Reisen crossed the center line and drove into the southbound ditch. Reisen's vehicle overturned and came to a rest on it's wheels against a tree. Reisen was transported
non-emergency by Dickeyville EMS for injuries sustained in the crash. The crash remains under investigation. Jamestown First Responsers, Dickeyville Fire Department, Dickeyville EMS, and Guy's Towing (Kieler) assisted on scene.
