On April 20, 2017 David Lee Rath age 50 of Postville turned himself into the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, David Rath was wanted on Fayette County Warrant for Probation Violation Original Charge of Possession of a controlled substance 3rd offense. Bond $2500.00. David was released from custody after posting bond.
On April 18th, 2017 at 2:37PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two people that were stealing cans out of the redemption donation box in St. Lucas. Upon investigation, it was learned that 58 year old Nancy Lee Opperman and 74 year old Donald Lee Lathum, both of West Union had stolen cans out of the redemption box. They were both charged with Theft in the 5th Degree, a simple misdemeanor and were summoned into court.
On April 18th, 2017 at 3:53PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two female subjects fighting in the City of Arlington. When Deputies arrived, and after an investigation, it was learned that 45 year old Angela Sue Barajas and 34 year old Victoria Colleen Dugan, both of Arlington had gotten into an argument, which then became physical before the two were separated. Deputies arrested and charged Barajas and Dugan with Disorderly Conduct, a Simple Misdemeanor. They were both transported to the Fayette County Jail where they held for an initial appearance in court.
On April 19, 2017 at 4:15 PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a call from staff at Prairie View Residential Center about a resident who was throwing rocks at vehicles and impeding traffic on 190th Street. When Deputies arrived, it was learned that 20 year old Haris Covic of Ottumwa was damaging vehicles. Covic was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a Serious Misdemeanor. Covic was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held for an initial appearance in court.
