On April 15, 2017, at approximately 3:37AM a Fayette County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on East Bradford Street, and North Vine Street, in West Union. After further investigation the driver, Aimee Jolyn Upton, age 24 of Clermont, was found to be intoxicated. Upton was arrested for Operating while intoxicated 1st Offense (serious misdemeanor), Possession of Methamphetamine (serious misdemeanor), Unlawful possession of prescription drugs (serious misdemeanor), and Operating without registration (simple misdemeanor). Upton was transported to the Fayette County Jail where she is being held pending an appearance with a Magistrate.
On 4-17-17, at approximately 610 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a suspended driver that drove to the West Union Residential Facility. When Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene, Galina Mikhaylovna Sagaydak, 37 of Mason City, was arrested for Driving while License Suspended a Simple Misdemeanor and Driving without SR22 Insurance on file, a Serious Misdemeanor. Sagaydak was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where she awaits an initial appearance.
