Holstein Steer Struck on CTH H
On Monday, 10, April at approximately 8:27 PM, the Sheriff's Office received a call of a large amount of cattle in the roadway on CTH H near CTH Z. Before a
deputy arrived on scene, Mary Ellen McKinstra-Auge, age 57 of Dubuque, who was traveling west on CTH H, was unable to avoid striking one of the Holstein
Steers that were in the roadway. Her 2013 Buick Encore sustained moderate damage to the front but was able to be driven from the scene. McKinstra-Auge
was wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured in the crash. The holstein steer was owned by the Timmerman Family Farm, Inc.
Two vehicle crash north of Blue River
On April 12th at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff's office took a report of a two vehicle crash just north of Blue River on County Rd T,
Watterstown Township. Linda Biddle, age 67 of Boscobel, was traveling north on Cty T in her 2013 Dodge Dart. Biddle slowed down for some debris in the
roadway. Greg Dilley, age 51 of Boscobel, was traveling north in his 2014 Ram Truck. Dilley was looking at the river and did not see Biddle slowing for the
debris in the road way. Dilley collided with the rear of Biddle's vehicle with the front of his vehicle. No injuries were reported and all individuals were wearing
their seat belts. Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Blue River Fire and Blue River EMS.
On April 14, 2017 at 8:26am, a Grant County deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Village of Blue River, due to an occupant not wearing a seat
belt. The deputy made contact with Kevin Campbell, 20 of Gays Mills, who was the passenger in the vehicle. It was discovered Mr. Campbell had a valid
warrant for his arrest out of Grant County for fail to pay on an Underage Drinking violation. Mr. Campbell was arrested for the warrant and transported to the
Grant County Jail without incident.
