On Friday, March 10th at approximately 7pm, the Prairie Du Chien Police Department conducted a search warrant at 1119 South 11th Street in the city of Prairie Du Chien, cased on a narcotics investigation which spanned nearly six months dating back to October 2016.
The residence belongs to a 36-year old Steven Mahlstedt and 34-year old Jessica Mahlstedt. Items found and seized during the search warrant were marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, meth, meth paraphernalia, and items associated with the distribution of narcotics.
As a result of the search warrant Steven Mahlstedt was arrested for possession of meth, delivery of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, and possesion of drug paraperhnalia. Jessica Mahlstedt was arreested for possession of meth, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, and possession of drug paraphenalia. Both were transported and booked into the Crawford County Jail.
Assisting at the scene was the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, Crawford County Human Services and the combined Prairie Du Chien/Crawford County Tactical Team.
The case remains under investigation and additional charges may be added through the Crawford County District Attorney's Office.
