Crawford Burglary

On Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 at approximately 4:33 a.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a burglary to “The Port” convenience store. The store is located near the intersection of USH 18 and STH 60 in the Township of Bridgeport, Crawford County, Wisconsin. On the aforementioned date, at approximately 1 a.m., an adult white male forcefully gained entry into the convenience store. Upon entry, the suspect attempted to gain entry into a safe, cash register, and ATM Machine. Eventually, the suspect was able to gain entry into the ATM Machine and remove the ATM Cassette from within. The Cassette is essentially the lockbox portion of the ATM Machine that houses the cash. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of cash from the ATM machine and miscellaneous items from the store..
