Energy Event

The Clayton County Energy District will host a free and live virtual Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, September 16th at 12 pm. Howard County Energy District Director and Cresco City Councilperson, Amy Bouska, will be discussing specific weather patterns of our local community. This is an interesting opportunity to learn facts of our local changing climate.

Bouska says, “The climate scientists tell us that the world is -- on average -- becoming warmer and wetter, but is that what is happening HERE in Clayton County? You’ll be surprised by the answer!”

After looking at the recorded Elkader data, Amy Bouska will review some of the changes to date and predictions for the upper Midwest region more broadly. Finally based on the US emissions data, she will consider the question of what individual action can and cannot accomplish in the fight against climate change. If you are unable to attend this session live, a recording will be available at www.claytoncounty.energydistrict.org.
